How to Be Immortal
Look at the image in this post and think- "Who was this person?" Why is his portrait still being seen throughout history? Who was Salvador Dali? Art has made him immortal. His own art and images of him have brought him lasting renown. How would you choose to be immortalized in art? As a statue? In a painting? In a photograph? What would your image look like? What would it say to people in the future who might see it?

I would love if there was a statue of me on a extravagant horse without a shirt, with my women holding on to me and in the open. I would want it to say to people I was someone who worked hard and can now relax. I was a person who cared about my body but I also loved the environment and I was wealthy enough that I didn't need to work anymore and could just spend my days riding my horse.

If I were to be immortalized in art, I'd like to be portrayed as doing something such as standing up for someone or showing extraordinary courage in the most extravagant situations. If people in the future see it, I would like them to remember the situations and the emotions taking place at the moment.

If i were to be inmortalized in art, I would choose to be inmortalized in a statue. The statue would be of me helping out many of the poor people around the world. I want to be pictured as a hero to all of the people and just by helping out the poor and giving care to them could change and help their life.

Rather than be "immortalized" by a picture or a statue, I would like to be "immortalized" by a book. I would want to write a book and be remembered. Books are just as well known as works of art. Books can be distributed to over millions of people so they can be known as much as famous pieces of art are.

Thank you for your comments. Kenneth, I agree that writing a book is a way to be immortalized. Good thinking!
ReplyDeleteI would like to be immortalized as a statue standing in the middle of a big city plaza in Europe. I would look like a proud man that looks courageous and audacious. It would give them the impression of wow this guy must have been well-known or brilliant.

ReplyDeleteI would like to be immortalized in a 1000 foot tall statue on top of mount everest. Everyone in the world will know of the statue and how magnificent it is. It would say to people in the future that I had a great idea to be immortalized and that I thought of it first.
